This writer detests when newbies on a roster lose their first major match though, and that's why Karrion (don't call him Killer) Kross needs to get a reputation-boosting win over a respected NXT veteran like Tommaso Ciampa this weekend. It's the only result that makes sense.

Ciampa is in rarefied air around these here parts. He doesn't exactly need to win all his matches (or even all his feuds) to stay credible, but this is a crucial time for Kross and his good lady Scarlett. They can't look like chumps at In Your House, otherwise WWE will find fan interest waning in both pronto.

Grabbing a decisive, dominant win over someone like Ciampa is exactly what Karrion needs at the moment. He's clearly a star of NXT's future, and it's important that creative treat him that way. There's no point in beating him just yet.
