Result: Roode polishes Nakamura off with the Glorious DDT to keep hold of the strap (28:20).

Rating: It says a lot that the main events of NXT PPVs are often only the second or third-most anticipated match on the card, and that was absolutely true here.

Still, it was an entertaining main event, even if it was hard to be that invested in such a predictable result, and it outstayed its welcome by a good 10 minutes.

The match psychology was great, and the desperation of both men was evident, but it ended up being another satisfactorily good main event that was upstaged by the undercard. The main event scene desperately needs some new blood injected into it, and this really feels like the time for Nakamura to make the leap to the main roster. 7/10
