NXT TakeOver Toronto: Ranking Every Match From Worst To Best
1. Tag Titles: The Revival (c) Vs. #DIY
Result: Gargano locks Dash into the Gargano Escape and Ciampa traps Dawson in an Armbar for the dual tap and title win (22:18)
Rating: Honestly, this is probably one of the best matches, tag or otherwise, I've ever seen. The storytelling was amazing throughout and managed to effortlessly transcend the standard 2-out-of-3-falls formula. Shenanigans actually enhanced the urgency, the drama and the desperation here, which is what so many wrestling matches get wrong.
It really felt like either team could've won, and the end product was basically the blueprint for a perfect tag team match. Easily the best match of the entire weekend and it's hard not to consider it Match of the Year at this point. Spectacular and ludicrously entertaining in every way a match needs to be. A classic. 10/10
