NXT's two most prominent stables will settle their beef inside WarGames on 6 December, General Manager William Regal has decreed.

Pat McAfee will lead his Kings of WWE NXT into the cage against The Undisputed Era. This was confirmed after last night's show, as Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, and Roderick Strong finally reunited as a group, brawling with McAfee, Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan, and Danny Burch.

This came after McAfee had interrupted a promo from returning NXT Champion Finn Balor right at the end of the show. Per the dot com writeup, Regal has now confirmed the booking.

WWE first revived the old WCW match stipulation at the original TakeOver: WarGames in November 2017. Fish, O'Reilly, and Cole took that bout, beating The Authors of Pain and Roderick Strong, as well as Sanity. They lost to Pete Dunne, Ricochet, and War Raiders the following year, then again to Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic, and Kevin Owens in 2019, leaving them at 1-2 inside the structure.

Dunne is the only wrestler on his team with WarGamed experience. Meanwhile, this will only be McAfee's second pro-wrestling match ever, having fallen to Cole at TakeOver XXX in August.
