2. NXT UK Tag Titles: Moustache Mountain Vs. Zack Gibson & James Drake

Result: Seven gets killed with the Ticket to Mayhem, crowning Gibson and Drake as the first ever NXT UK Tag Champs (23:45).

Rating: This was an incredible match to kick off the show, bar a slightly sloppy start for Bate, after which things quickly picked up. The placement of rest holds felt a tad mechanical at times, but everything in-between was gold.

The storytelling and psychology were especially strong here, with effective use of blood and Gibson and Drake cutting Seven off from Bate.

Later in the match there were so many astoundingly close near-falls, though you could probably argue a couple too many undercut their overall impact ever so slightly.

On the whole, though, a superb opener that set a high bar for the rest of the night. 8/10
