NXT's Tye Dillinger Injured At WWE Live Event In Detroit

Add Dillinger to an already very lengthy WWE injury report.

NXT held a live event in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday evening, and it now appears WWE has yet another injury to deal with coming out of the show. Tye Dillinger wrestled Sami Zayn at the event, and part-way through the match, appears to have suffered some kind of injury to his right knee. While it shouldn't be speculated on the severity of the injury, as knee injuries can be one of many different things, the footage looks quite similar to Seth Rollins' injury last Fall. It could be anything from a knee sprain to a torn ligament. It's also possible that it was his ankle as well, though Dillinger appears to clutch his knee when he goes down to the mat. You can see the injury occur in the fan video posted below. Dillinger's right knee appears to give out as he hits the mat following a suplex reversal. https://twitter.com/JimmyDeeb/status/693612403402088448?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Following the injury, the official held up the "X" with his arms (typically a sign to the back that there has been a real injury) and the match was ended. Dillinger has been a rising star of late for the NXT brand with his "perfect 10" gimmick. He is currently on his second stint with WWE, having previously wrestled for the company between 2006 and 2009. He was released from his WWE contract in 2009 following the cancellation of the ECW brand, of which Dillinger had worked on briefly. He re-signed with WWE in 2013.
