After originally being booked for AEW’s Double or Nothing
PPV this past May, wrestling fans are finally going to get to see PAC go
one-on-one against ‘Hangman’ Adam Page in an AEW ring.
During the latest Road to TNT episode, Tony Schiavone
announced that PAC vs. Page will take place on the TNT premiere of AEW Dynamite
on Wednesday, October 2nd from the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
According to online rumblings, the reason why this match
didn’t take place at Double or Nothing was down to creative differences between
AEW and PAC – who was at that point the Dragon Gate Open the Dream Gate
Champion.

Instead, PAC and Page had an impromptu match at a
Wrestlegate Pro show in Nottingham, England a week before that AEW PPV, which
Hangman won by DQ.
Of course, this match being pulled from Double or Nothing
worked out better for Page as he instead participated in and won the Casino
Battle Royale and earned himself a shot at becoming the first AEW World
Heavyweight Champion.

That was as good as it got for Hangman, though, for he’d
lose out to Chris Jericho at August’s All Out PPV as Jericho was crowned the inaugural
AEW Champion.
That same All Out show saw PAC return to AEW and defeat
Kenny Omega. And now, the Bastard has ‘Hangman’ Page in his sights for AEW’s Dynamite
debut.
