Paul 'Triple H' Levesque will enter the WWE Hall of Fame as the Class of 2025 headliner.

PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that Levesque was surprised by Stephanie McMahon, The Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels during a WWE town hall meeting for company staff today. WWE's Chief Content Officer was purportedly "caught off-guard" and "got very emotional" when told he was entering the Hall of Fame, joking that he "wanted to kill" WWE President Nick Khan.

This derails all jokes about Levesque booking himself to enter his own Hall of Fame, sadly. Perhaps WCW star Terra Ryzing will be available for the induction.

Levesque's impending singles induction makes him a two-time Hall of Fame headliner, as D-Generation X joined at the top of the Class of 2019.

WWE had yet to release an official announcement regarding this story at the time of writing. Expect this imminently.

Triple H is the first name to be announced for the Class of 2025. He is also one of the biggest names WWE had left available to headline. For Levesque, induction was always a question of "when", not "if." In kayfabe, his 14 WWE and World Heavyweight Championships, 1997 King of the Ring win, 2002 and 2016 Royal Rumble wins, and long, sustained main event push make him one of the most successful wrestlers in company history. Now, he has a successful booking record to strengthen his case as well.

WWE's 2025 Hall of Fame induction ceremony is set for Friday, 18 April in Las Vegas, Nevada, immediately after that night's episode of SmackDown.
