The new AEW star didn't go easy on the final few years of his WWE run. In fact, Paul specifically said that his old employer "took wrestling away from [him]".

Explaining, the giant recalled showing up for the 4 January 2021 episode of Raw only to be informed that he'd be working with Randy Orton. That was fine - Wight likes Randy, and figured they could do some good business together.

That's when he learned that Orton would "pie-face" him into a chair. Wight was especially annoyed that WWE expected him "to just sit there in the chair and take it". This, he says, is all part of company policy to strip legends down and "make things more awkward and difficult".

Paul was going through contractual negotiations with Vince McMahon at the time, and he believes that WWE tried to mess with him psychologically so they'd have the upper hand.

It didn't work.

The segment with Randy only p*ssed the then-Big Show off and made him question whether or not he wanted to continue in a company that didn't value him.
