Paul Wight's Desire To Wrestle Has "Intensified" Since Joining AEW

AEW fans could get to see Paul Wight wrestle against some familiar faces very soon.

Paul Wight can't wait to step foot inside an AEW ring.

The commentator told WrestleZone that he's starting to get an itchy trigger finger. Wight was delighted to sign on for commentary duties this past February, but work on AEW's Dark: Elevation show with Tony Schiavone was only going to satisfy him for so long.

Now, he feels like he's getting closer and closer to actively wrestling again. The giant previously told Renee Paquette's 'Oral Sessions' and Chris Jericho's 'Talk Is Jericho' that he'd headhunted Darby Allin as someone he'd love to work with in the future.

Wight would also like to help teach bigger guys like Luchasaurus and Lance Archer a thing or two.

Paul told WrestleZone that he actually broached the subject of wrestling again during a recent episode of Dark: Elevation. He turned to Schiavone and asked, "Have you ever sat here in this chair and really got the desire to lace your boots up again, put them on and get out there and wrestle?".

He's not sure if that made it to air or not - AEW might've cut it out of the episode.
