Penta El Zero M Injured Before AEW Dynamite

Here's why the Lucha Brother couldn't compete on last night's AEW Dynamite...

Penta El Zero M was attacked by The Butcher ahead of a six-man tag intended to pit the Lucha Brothers and Lance Archer against Eddie Kingston's family on last night's AEW Dynamite, with the big man throwing him through a table. Officials then helped Penta to the back, leaving Rey Fenix and Archer to face The Butcher, The Blade, and Kingston two-on-three, with the angle booked to cover for a legitimate injury suffered by Penta ahead of the show.

Per Bodyslam.net's Cassidy Haynes, Penta has been dealing with a leg issue suffered while training a few weeks ago. There is currently no word on how long, exactly, the terrifying skeleton ninja will be on the shelf for.

Penta and Fenix recently split from Kingston's Family to reform Death Triangle with the returning PAC. PAC was absent from last night's Dynamite, on which Kingston, Butcher, and Blade defeated the outnumbered Fenix and Archer, with Rey taking the fall via Butcher and Blade's powerbomb/neckbreaker combo finisher. Archer ran the heels out of the ring after the bell.
