Peyton Royce has told Sportskeeda that WWE didn't tell her or Billie Kay that The IIconics would be splitting up on the 31 August 2020 edition of Raw.

The pair weren't given much warning at all. They turned up to the Amway Center for that night's show thinking that they'd be continuing as a duo. That's when officials hauled them to one side and told them that they'd be jobbing to The Riott Squad on that night's episode.

They were cool with it - then, they found out that they'd been booked to split immediately afterwards.

Royce admitted during the interview that she's been going through a period of adjustment post-Kay. If that sounds silly, then consider this: Peyton and Billie grew up together in Australia, and they both shared the same dream of making it to WWE.

Luckily, they managed to achieve that together, and they've pretty much constantly been around one another ever since they were kids. Being ripped apart so "abruptly" has been tough on Peyton. She says she's still "digesting" the split almost four months on, and is "still finding [her] footing" without Billie there to bounce off of.
