Positive Update On Jim Ross After Brain Surgery (AEW News)
Iconic wrestling announcer reportedly recovering at home following follow up procedure.
Cherished wrestling legend Jim Ross is reportedly recovering at home following a procedure in hospital as part of his ongoing health battles. The AEW man had a shunt inserted this past August with a view to draining excess fluid from his brain, but he needed a follow-up surgery done on it.
Jim's 'Grilling JR' cohost Conrad Thompson cheerfully informed fans via social media that the "procedure went well". Everyone will agree with Conrad that this is great news. The extent of Ross's health problems in recent times has been quite harrowing, but he's always maintained a positive outlook on his pod and via socials.
On 'Grilling JR', Jim also praised his daughter (a licensed physician) as "a wonderful asset" as he continues fighting through various health concerns. She's been on the ball and quick to help her father whenever he needs help. In follow on news, Ross recently reported that doctors are happy with his progress overall.
Unfortunately, JR wasn't able to show face at AEW's recent All Out pay-per-view. He'd planned to, but it wasn't possible. There's no word on exactly when Jim will be able to call another match or appear in front of the All Elite cameras again either - that's all up in the air, but it clearly isn't as important as his overall health.
Best wishes to Ross and his family going forwards. It's nice to get a positive update from Conrad about everything that's been going on, and to hear that JR is back home on the mend.
