PWInsider is reporting that several people behind the scenes in WWE expect Nia Jax to be part of Saturday's 30-woman Royal Rumble match.
The website didn't confirm anything, but general belief amongst some backstage in the company is that Jax will appear on the pay-per-view. Nia, who left WWE in early-November 2021, hasn't wrestled a match since losing to old partner Shayna Baszler on the 20 September 2021 edition of Raw.
There's no word yet on whether this possible return would be a one-off or part of something bigger. Triple H has brought back several names canned under Vince McMahon's watch since assuming control of company affairs in July 2022 - the likes of Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt and Hit Row all launched comebacks.
Could Nia be next in line?
PWInsider noted that Jax was being discussed by multiple wrestlers on the road over the weekend. The former Raw Women's and two-time Women's Tag-Team Champion could well be one of the surprises WWE likes to wheel out every year at the Rumble.
This is one to keep an eye on, but nothing is set in stone quite yet.
