Nia Jax is set to be in the house for this week's episode of WWE SmackDown.

This is according to a new report from eWrestlingNews.com claiming that the talk backstage during Monday's episode of Raw was that 'The Irresistible Force' is on her way to FOX, and will at least be backstage for this week's show.

The news came just a few short hours after PWInsider confirmed Jax had been cleared to return to active competition.

If Jax does come back to television this week, it'll mark the end of a lengthy absence that began shortly after WrestleMania 35. The former Raw Women's Champion underwent major surgery to repair two torn ACLs last spring, ruling her out for the remainder of the year, with Q1 2020 always pinpointed as a potential return window. It looks like those estimates were accurate.

Nia resumed training at the WWE Performance Center in December. She used Twitter to tease discontent at not being booked earlier this week, though this was an obvious work.

It'll be interesting to see how Jax fits into the landscape on SmackDown, though Bayley is short of credible title contenders at the moment. Let's see if she appears or stays backstage.
