Tony Khan's latest "huge" AEW announcement is likely tied to the launch of the promotion's upcoming Saturday show, Collision, reports Fightful Select.

Khan made a pretaped appearance on last night's Dynamite, saying that next week, the company will deliver "one of the most important announcements ever in the history of AEW."

This comes amidst intense rumours of a new television contract with Warner Bros. Discovery, Collision's debut, the installation of a soft roster split, and the seemingly imminent return of CM Punk.

Warner Bros. Discovery is set to hold its annual Upfront next Wednesday. This aligns nicely with Khan's big announcement, which, according to Fightful, is going to have something to do with Collision.

Current reporting points towards Collision launching in Chicago, IL in mid-June. Stars like Punk and Chris Jericho are expected to be the centrepieces of the show, with The Elite and Blackpool Combat Club carrying the load on Dynamite. But while the controversial Punk, in particular, will mostly operate on Collision, it is understood that he will make appearances on Dynamite as necessary (per the Wrestling Observer).

Punk has been indefinitely suspended by AEW since All Out last September, where he brawled with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks after an incendiary media scrum performance.
