Dave Mastiff's billed nickname on the independent circuit is 'The Bastard'. It's simple, effective and presumably terrifying for anyone who has to stand on the other side of the ring. The 322-pound behemoth from the Black Country is a mammoth physical specimen and also a dynamo between the ropes, known for the athletic abilities he honed as a gymnast.
Mastiff, much like Ligero, is a performer who has become well known as one of the hardest workers on the British circuit, appearing for dozens of promotions in every corner of the UK. He has held more than his fair share of titles and has real star power as an indy talent.
His first round match will see him take on high-flyer Kenny Williams, setting up the aforementioned likely quarter final with Joe Coffey. Mastiff feels like the likely winner of that match too, which could see him taking on Kiwi star Travis Banks in the semi-finals. That's a mouth-watering prospect.
