Predicting 10 Highest WWE Earners In 2016
5. Roman Reigns
Last year Roman Reigns charted one place behind Seth Rollins,
but I’m guessing he’ll get the edge next time around, largely due to his role
at this year’s WrestleMania.
Reigns of course defeated Triple H to emerge victorious in the main event for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It doesn’t get much better than that to be honest. And again, this was the biggest WrestleMania of all time, remember.
Subsequent pay-per-view main events mean he was probably on course for an extortionate year of earnings, but there’s no denying that his recent suspension will have changed that somewhat.
First off, this was indeed a suspension without pay, meaning he’ll have a month deducted from his total salary. But it’ll also likely have a heavy impact on his future earnings, not least because he’s no longer the golden boy. He’s already been shunned from the SummerSlam main event, in what was seemingly a direct consequence to his wellness test mishap.
Still, even if he didn’t earn another cent all year, presumably Reigns has already racked up enough to make it a pretty lucrative 2016.
