Predicting AEW's Next 10 Breakout Stars

3. Anna Jay

The troubles of AEW's women's division are well documented, but there are a number of bright stars bubbling just under the surface. Are any brighter than Anna Jay? The only female member of The Dark Order (that we know of, obviously) has been one of the more prominent members of the faction this year, memorably standing front and centre as the group beat the living daylights out of the Nightmare Family.

She has taken a bit of a backseat since that demolition, picking up the occasional win on Dark and providing a brooding presence alongside her stablemates. There is a lot more to come from Jay, all without mentioning that the Queen Slayer is just 22 years old. The AEW women's division is going to be in need of a figurehead, and Anna Jay could well fill that spot.

Looking into the future, Anna Jay will benefit greatly from a return to a full roster and a wider range of experienced opponents to learn from. Number 99 is barely a year into her professional wrestling career and remains undoubtedly inexperienced, but the pieces of the puzzle are all there; they just need to come together. Fast forward 12 months, she will be well on her way.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
