Predicting All 20 NJPW G1 Climax 2018 Entrants

5. Tomoaki Honma

Wrestling on June 23rd's Kizuna Road supercard for the first time since a terrifying 2017 spinal injury suffered in a match against Jedo threatened to end his career, Honma will likely put in a strong showing as an underdog babyface having gained unlikely traction thanks to his efforts in the 2015 and 2016 tournaments.

Though by no means undersold, NJPW haven't trumpeted his impending return as extraordinary - a strong showing in his return G1 would over-deliver on those measured expectations.
