Predicting How And When Every Injured WWE Star Will Return

8. EC3

After spending less than a year in NXT, EC3 was abruptly moved to the main roster at the onset of 2019 as part of a random batch of NXT call-ups. It quickly became clear that WWE didn't have plans for any of them and that the sole reason they were called up was to send the message that "change" was coming with the McMahons running Raw and SmackDown again.

Lacey Evans, Heavy Machinery, Nikki Cross and even Lars Sullivan (to an extent) found success eventually, whereas EC3 was the only one to not be given a real chance to shine under the bright lights of WWE. Aside from winning his Raw in-ring debut against Dean Ambrose, he was relegated to jobber duty for the remainder of 2019.

His terrible year was capped off with a concussion in the fall with his last recorded match taking place on Main Event in late September. He's offered no update on his status since then, and it doesn't help that returns from concussion can vary from days to weeks to months, if not longer.

EC3 was drafted to Raw in October, so unless Paul Heyman intends to use him to his full potential once he's cleared to compete again, expect him to be remain a mainstay on Main Event until further notice and probably pop up as an entrant in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
