Predicting The First 10 AEW World Champions

4. MJF

AEW Chris Jericho
MLW

Does it matter that MJF hasn't yet married his exquisite character and promo work with an in-ring game to match? If this was WWE, where match quality doesn't carry as much heft, then perhaps not. AEW purport to be different, though. This means the 23-year-old still has a couple of steps to take before he fits the blueprint of what we assume the AEW World Champion will be.

MJF will get there, though, and there'll be nothing stopping him when he does. The guy's a first-class talker. He has more personality in his Burberry scarf than most peers do in the whole bodies. Superlative heel diatribes have already gotten him over as the future Big Bad, and this is the moment it finally happens.

By this point, Hangman Page would ideally be over as one of North America's biggest babyfaces, leading to the night MJF, that absolute w*nker, takes the prize Page had fought so hard for away from him. The gloating post-victory promos would be absolutely glorious. Think of the salt pouring from every corner of the arena...
