Predicting The Next 10 AEW Stars To Jump Ship To WWE
2. Wardlow
Is there anything about Wardlow that doesn’t scream WWE? He is a giant among dwarves in a company that actually, refreshingly, embraces the small stature of workhorse wrestlers and prefer them to the muscular meat heads of generations past. But WWE, traditionally, has been the land of the giants, so there is no surprise that they are extremely interested in signing the Cleveland native.
Me may not be overly tall, but Wardlow is big - very big! - he looks like a star, walks like a star and can go in the ring with the best of them. Sure, his promo abilities probably need a bit more work, but there are plenty of people in the gorilla position at any given WWE event that can help him with that. Yes, AEW clearly have big aspirations for him, as he currently holds the TNT Championship and is desperately trying to regain some of the title’s former prestige, but would you blame the man for picking up the phone if WWE came calling?
The 34-year-old himself hasn’t ruled out the possibility of working with WWE in the future, and that is because he knows that the door will be open. It will simply be up to him if he walks through it or not.
