Predicting The Next 10 WWE Champions

4. Baron Corbin (Elimination Chamber 2019)

Elimination Chamber is always a great spot to hand a celebrated champion a protected loss, and assuming the PPV remains a SmackDown exclusive through to 2019, this would be a good place to put the title back on someone like Corbin, who’ll never be as revered as an AJ Styles.

‘The Lone Wolf’ has his limitations, but he has improved leaps and bounds since joining the main roster, and should have evolved into very compelling in-ring performer by this point. The company’s fondness for him means they may not want to go a full year without giving him his second WWE Title reign, but if fans feel like he’s being forced on them as a top guy, we’ll have another Jinder situation on our hands.

WWE won’t want that to happen, and thus, they’d be better off exercising some restraint.

There’s every chance Corbin will be one of the biggest heels in the company by February 2019, if not before then. Triumphing in the Chamber would let him avenge his loss to Styles at SummerSlam 2017, and give him the opportunity to anchor the main event through WrestleMania 35, where he’d ideally make a successful defence.
