Many bemoan the multi-man format in the build. It is unimaginative, and damages any sort of ranking system across the roster - resulting in a lack of legitimate top stars and prohibiting immersive, narrative journeys.

Precisely nobody will give a f*ck about any of that on the night.

Ricochet excels in every environment, and his act is so breathtaking that it will not matter how exhausted the crowd will be. You could watch Battleground 2017 on a 48-hour loop beforehand, standing on your feet the entire time, and still pop daft at the sight of his vaulting over-the-ring post senton. The scope for potential spots is vast.

While at least one jaded performer in the match probably isn't dreaming up moments to steal the show - and if you can't guess who that is, come on - this genre breeds rapid, frenetic action of the sort that invariably delivers.

Ricochet avoiding the Kinshasa with a handspring kip-up, Aleister Black dropping Cesaro with the Black Mass in literal full swing, Jimmy Uso aiming a Superkick right back at him - this will be a spot-fest, but the best possible version.
