5. Kevin Owens' NXT Vs Shane McMahon's WWE

As noted in other articles on this website, if Kevin Owens isn't on his way to NXT as per - sigh - recent legal and financial wranglings with Shane McMahon, what on earth has everything these two have been up to since SummerSlam been all about? "Killing 'KO' as a top babyface" is not an acceptable answer.

NXT's debut on USA Network seemed primed for a defection as a final moment surprise during the roster-wide brawl, but no such stroll-out was forthcoming. Might this have been by design? Whilst the episode mostly went well, it became apparent early in the second hour that the really important episode was October 2nd's first head-to-head battle with AEW Dynamite. A rerun of this very skit could be in the offing, this time with the payoff included to ensure that curious fans don't change the channel.

Make that man Kevin Owens, make him a Survivor Series team captain, and have his team of NXT babyfaces steamroll Shane McMahon's gang of blue brand idiots to cost 'The Money' his job and send the 'Prizefighter' back to SmackDown or Raw as a rejuvenated star.
