Predicting WWE's Champions At WrestleMania 34
6. United States Champion - Bobby Roode
Will Baron Corbin hold the WWE United States Championship all the way until WrestleMania 34? Absolutely not. Corbin’s push has been all over the place in 2017 - from winning the Money in the Bank briefcase to being rolled up by Jinder Mahal and losing his opportunity, from gaining the United States Championship to losing to Sin Cara. ‘Consistency’ is the last word that can be used to describe The Lone Wolf.
Corbin will get a couple of months of disappointing matches out of the championship, but a six month reign is not beckoning for him. SmackDown Live has plenty of options when it comes to men to rule the middle of the card, but Bobby Roode is the best of those.
There’s something about Roode that screams ‘champion’, and WWE would do well to take advantage of that. A heel turn must be in The Glorious One’s future, and that may come soon after the stars and stripes title is around his glorious waist. This also gives SmackDown six months to groom a babyface challenger in the middle of the card, or bring one up from NXT.
