WWE could be on the verge of pulling off one of 2019's most awesome wrestling returns - and it has nothing to do with CM Punk, Shawn Michaels, or The Rock.

Following on from the weekend's claim that WWE will debut fully redesigned Raw and SmackDown stages for next week's "season premieres," WrestleVotes are now reporting that pyro is on its way back to television:-

Like the stage story, this isn't necessarily anything new as the Wrestling Observer and PW Insider have both reported similar news in recent months, and August's SummerSlam pay-per-view was full of fireworks. Regardless, it's one that will likely be celebrated by anyone who mourned pyro's loss when WWE deemed it an unnecessary expense back in 2017.

WWE's loud, bombastic presentation has always been one of the company's biggest strengths. Pyro was a huge part of that for decades, so it was a shame to see the decision-makers do away with it two summers ago, with Raw and SmackDown lacking an explosive edge ever since.
