Randy Orton Dealing With WWE Neck Injury?

When will we see 'The Viper' again?

Randy Orton Super ShowDown
WWE

Randy Orton hasn't been seen on WWE programming since Super Show-Down in on 7 June, where he and Triple H worked a lengthy exhibition bout. It looks like the reason behind his recent absence has now become apparent.

Per an exclusive report from Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, 'The Viper' has been dealing with an undisclosed neck problem over the past few weeks, having hurt himself while competing against Aleister Black on a 10 June house show. He already had time off scheduled, so WWE decided to throw an extra couple of weeks on top of that to help him recover.

The good news is that Randy's injury isn't thought to be serious. WWE had no pressing programmes for him at the time either, so granting his leave of absence wasn't an issue.

'The Viper' is expected to return to television imminently, having been heavily rumoured to be Aleister Black's mystery Extreme Rules opponent in recent times.

Orton has a history of neck problems and has had a quiet few months, competing in just four televised matches since facing AJ Styles at WrestleMania 35. Here's hoping he's able to return as soon as the writeup suggests.
