Randy Orton's reprised 'Legend Killer' gimmick came into play again on last night's RAW, as the WWE Championship contender punted 71-year-old mentor Ric Flair to close the show.

This came following a hard-fought victory over Kevin Owens. Orton grabbed a microphone after this, chastising 'The Nature Boy' for putting the match together in the first place, saying that while he used to love and respect Ric, he didn't anymore.

Orton said Flair had become a liability and told him to cry (because apparently that's all he's good for), then dived into his old Evolution stablemate's health problems, called him a "junkie for the spotlight," a has-been, and everything in between.

Flair cut an emotional response. He said that he enjoyed managing Orton because he does like the spotlight, adding that he wants Randy to be the one to break his record of 16 World Championships. Ric wanted to be there when it happened, prompting Orton to slap the microphone out of his hands and bring him in for a hug, only to hit a low blow. Randy set himself up for the punt and kicked the move as RETRIBUTION messed with the lights, allowing Flair to bump safely.

Ric was down as the lighting returns and Drew McIntyre hit the ring, running Orton off as their SummerSlam 2020 feud continues.
