Randy Savage 'Likely' For WWE Hall Of Fame 2015
Ohhhhh yeahhhhhhhhh.
Randy Savage is more likely than ever to go into the WWE Hall of Fame, according to the latest figure four weekly newsletter. This is coming off the back of a new WWE DVD / Blu Ray project which will feature a full documentary on the Macho Man. Cooperating and being interviewed for the new Savage release is his brother Lanny Poffo. This increased featuring of Savage and the blessing of his family make a WWE 2015 Hall of Fame induction a strong possibility. The Newsletter report believes that the most likely line up for next year's Hall of Fame class will be The Rock, Savage, Kevin Nash, Victoria or Mickie James and Rikishi. In analysing the Savage move, it isn't too surprising to see WWE edge closer to finally recognising his legend. Triple H is taking the reigns off of Vince McMahon a bit and pushing the importance of WWE history. Savage was a huge part of the WWF's initial boom period and deserves his undeniable place. He was a great in ring worker and very memorable character. The WWE are going to get calls every year for his induction until Vince McMahon finally puts whatever grudge aside and lets the legend in. Apart from anything else it would be a good business move, nostalgia sells, as The Ultimate Warrior proved. The DVD project is another good idea, WWE are going to have to raise their game with DVD releases, they must differentiate that market from the WWE Network. Projects such as a disc only Randy Savage documentary are a good way to go about that. As to why Savage has been excluded from the Hall Of Fame for so long, no one really knows, but the persistent rumour of an inappropriate relationship between Savage and a 17 year old Stephanie McMahon is repeatedly rumoured in wrestling circles. Vince McMahon has been noted to get angry at the mere mention of Randy Savage, but thinking with a business head, he must surely realise the WWE can gain from using the late star's fame in the 2015 Hall of Fame ceremony.
