Ranking 10 Most Successful Wrestling Defections

7. AJ Styles To WWE

Radicalz Debut
WWE.com

It seems unfathomable for any company to let AJ Styles go, but after nearly a dozen years in TNA, he had nothing left to accomplish. Styles won every title, performed every role and competed in several five-star matches. He weathered the turbulence of rotating management and television homes, building his legendary reputation among diehards. With few healthy years left to compete at his highest level, it was time for the Phenomenal One to cash in on that WWE exposure.

Since debuting at the 2016 Royal Rumble, Styles has been a main event player. He’s won the WWE Championship, carried SmackDown in the brand extension and shined as both hero and villain. While WWE experiments with Jinder Mahal on top, fans know they can rely on Styles to deliver on the undercard.
