Remember when John Cena vs. Randy Orton was a fresh matchup? This was the first time the two had met in a one-on-one match for the WWE Championship. Nine years later, WWE has repeated that matchup a couple dozen times, to the point that many fans will chant “boring” or some other derisive phrase no matter how good of a match they are putting on.

On this particular night, the two superstars had their usual solid match, with Orton very nearly pulling out the victory, but once again Cena would Rise Above Vipers and put Orton down for the three count. Shortly thereafter, Orton would continue the tradition Edge started and punt Cena’s father in the head on Raw.

Hmmm… Maybe John Cena Sr. should avoid showing up at WWE events.
