While 'Taker's return to the Dark Side in 2004 set up some promising storylines, it was the following year in which he finally began to thrive in the ring again - and that was down to the genius decision to pair him with young talent like Randy Orton.

The pair's feud lasted for the better part of the year, as they battled all over SmackDown, facing each other in Casket Matches and No DQ matches before it all culminated inside Hell In A Cell at Armageddon. And, unlike many of today's feuds, the Devil's Playground felt like a justified conclusion for this long, rage-infested program.

The matches they produced were among 'Taker's best in years, with their WrestleMania 21 encounter being considered one of The Streak's earliest classics - and this marked the beginning of an in-ring renaissance (one of the benefits of facing younger stars) that he would continue to build upon in the years that followed.
