The Undertaker

Though not entirely free of complete duffers (pay-per-view contests with The Rock, Hulk Hogan and Triple H were criminally dull), The Undertaker brought the goods in-ring for the first time in forever during his absorbing WrestleMania programme with Ric Flair and wars with Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar in the summer.

He'd been a total pr*ck throughout 2001 too - it was quite cathartic to get to boo him as one for the first half of the year.
