WrestleMania title shot: N/A

How do you rank a Royal Rumble that doesn’t take place in January on the Road to WrestleMania?

But that’s exactly what we got last April, when WWE held its first of two shows in Saudi Arabia, Greatest Royal Rumble. And as the name indicated, we got a Rumble of epic proportions – a 50-man match that last forever. They trotted out the entire roster, plus a couple NXT wresters and legends, to fill the slots.

On the line was a trophy and championship title, which ultimately meant nothing. It really just became bragging rights for Braun Strowman, who won by eliminating a record 13 men. The victory was a moral one for Braun, who had come up short against Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble and then was stuck winning the Raw Tag Team Championships by teaming with a 10-year-old boy.

However, given the geopolitical situation with Saudi Arabia, odds are that we won’t hear GRR referenced too often on WWE TV, so this will likely fade into the background almost permanently. Combined with no title shot coming from winning this match, Strowman gets a low ranking here.
