Ranking All 35 WWE WrestleManias From Worst To Best

31. WrestleMania 27

You can’t lay the failure of WrestleMania 27 solely at The Miz’s feet, but he definitely has to take some of the blame.

But any WrestleMania – or PPV, for that matter – that allots nearly 15 minutes for a Michael Cole versus Jerry Lawler match is automatically going to get flamed. Worse, it was 15 minutes with Cole winning when the Anonymous Raw GM reversed the decision. This WM also featured Snooki in a 6-person mixed tag match that indirectly led to John Morrison talking his way out of the company.

And of course, you had the overbooked nonsense that was the main event, with Miz and John Cena fighting to a double count-out, only for Mania host The Rock to restart the match, turn on Cena and allow Miz to retain the WWE Championship.

They used the main event of WM 27 to set up the main event of WM 28. Let that one roll around in your head a bit. Even WWE was phoning it in.
