Jamie Hayter's title reign felt like the wheels might be finally on the track for the AEW women's division, so her injury was a real problem. Toni Storm taking the title off her in just over three minutes was an attempt to at least keep things interesting on the surface, whilst also being a safe bet.

After all, Storm had been picked to hold the gold as "interim" during the early days of Thunder Rosa's injury and subsequent relinquishing of the title, which eventually became a lineal reign. However, this time, she was part of one of AEW's biggest flops.

The Outcasts had their moments - specifically solid ringwork from the champ herself - but a lack of good opponents and therefore feuds, and a generic "mean girl" schtick, meant that Women's Champion Toni Storm felt completely directionless for the entirity of her 66 day reign.
