Ranking Every AEW Championship Reign Of 2023

7. The Acclaimed - AEW World Trios Championship

Whilst an argument can be made that booking can and should be about more than just belts, The Acclaimed felt a little bit lost after losing the tag titles. They were over as heck and had been cut loose from a guaranteed slot on the card.

However, whilst the teased retirement angle from Billy Gunn felt a little forced, it was very easy to get behind the group's desire to put a strap around the waist of ol' Mr Ass one more time. For a pair of formerly obnoxious heels, Caster and Bowens knew how to get a rise out of the AEW audience - and the pink Trios straps showed the company was still putting plenty of stock in them.

And it goes to the power of character, because they're a memorable unit despite not having defended the belts on PPV (outside of the Zero Hour pre-show) in the 90+ days they've had them.
