20. D-Generation X Vs. Legacy

Part of me felt that initially these guys had kind of missed the point of a Hell in a Cell match, because much of the match’s opening stages took place outside of the structure.

However, this soon proved to be a part of Legacy’s cunning plan, as Triple H was laid out on the entrance ramp and then locked out of the Cell altogether. With Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes then double-teaming Shawn Michaels behind the locked door, the Game would seemingly desert his partner, before later re-emerging with a set of bolt cutters.

Slicing through the lock, he soon cleaned house and exacted some revenge by locking DiBiase out of the Cell in return. Smooth. A nifty Sweet Chin Music/sledgehammer combo then finished Rhodes off for the pinfall, in a very cool spin on the Hell in a Cell stipulation when compared with the usual formula.
