3. Eric Young

Eric Young has said it himself in various interviews; how can you possibly have several hours of television a week, and not find a worthy place for someone like 'The World Class Maniac'?

Upon being released from WWE on 15 April, 'EY' redeemed himself in Impact Wrestling by putting the recently-returned Rich Swann back on the shelf in his first night back in the Impact Zone. This killer streak is what led Young to have such a successful World Championship reign. You often forget he only reigned his champion for shy of two months. It felt like a mammoth reign coming to an end when he dropped the strap to Swann at Bound For Glory, simply because Eric had worked nonstop to remind everyone why he's no joke.

Bringing in former All Japan beast Joe Doering to watch his back, Eric Young is continuing to rebuild his persona going into the new year. It goes without saying that he has been one of the biggest success stories post-Black Wednesday.
