Ranking Every Major Current Wrestling Storyline From Worst To Best
6. The New Bullet Club Saga
The best splinter development of many is covered elsewhere on this list. This new Bullet Club is best when in opposition to Jon Moxley, and not quite so much in conflict with itself.
There's as much to love about this new act as there is to feel a bit...concerned by.
The shenanigans concocted by Don Callis to separate Kenny Omega from the Young Bucks relied far too heavily on the dreaded invisible camera. How did the footage from it make it onto the show? What was Alex Marvez even doing by Kenny Omega's house? These contrivances have undermined the all-important, immersive idea that Dynamite is a captured event and not a TV show. Not the Impact Wrestling crossover people had in mind.
But Omega and Callis are gold together, Doc Gallows has finally found the best televised platform for his boorish, piss-funny brand of humour, and while the Young Bucks might enjoy the tease deal a little too much, what they're doing is tethered to reality. Of course they're going to feel a sense of loyalty to Gallows and Anderson. Doesn't mean they can't be conflicted - particularly since the Good Brothers have swanned into AEW after they decided to stay with WWE.
For as much grief as the Elite draw for an apparent unending sense of inner turmoil, this latest beat, informed by a meta inspiration, feels very well-earned.
