4. FTR Vs. Jurassic Express

Orton Fiend Moxley Fenix
AEW

Fabulous.

FTR resent Jurassic Express for being cutesy and irreverent, or to their minds silly and undersized. So they picked on them. Jurassic Express stood up for themselves, but were manipulated. Sh*t-scared of the massive dinosaur, FTR as they are so adept at doing convinced Marko Stunt to take his place, and they put him away in a lovely little tag match in which they scraped his face off and sold for him convincingly.

Even better - far better - was Dax Harwood Vs. Jungle Boy.

A stunningly crafted match pitting experience against resilience, viciousness against spirit, Harwood played the cut-off veteran magnificently - so well that Jungle Boy emerged from it something approaching a sensation. Harwood was incredible at putting it together. He gave Jungle Boy such little space to do anything that the babyface got over just by chaining some offence together, much less tapping him out.

Destined to end with the best two-man Express unit against FTR - possibly in a Steel Cage match, given the theme of interference - this is genuinely uplifting pro wrestling storytelling that is unfussy and detailed in perfect balance.
