Ranking Every Randy Orton Vs. Triple H WWE Match Ever

13. Raw - April 28, 2008

Randy Orton wound up walking out of his Triple Threat match at WrestleMania XXIV still the WWE champion, but that didn't mean the chase ended there for John Cena and his archrival Triple H.

At Backlash 2008, HHH reigned supreme in a Fatal 4-Way to clinch the title. Still seething over the loss of his coveted championship, Orton wasted no time in invoking his rematch clause on the next night's Raw.

Considering the circumstances, it was hardly surprising that Orton was more aggressive than usual and was willing to do anything to regain the gold. The bout benefited from the added intensity, but with Judgment Day right around the corner, fans should have seen the non-finish coming from a mile away.

Instead of going with a typical count-out or disqualification ending, WWE chose to have then-Raw general manager William Regal (who felt disrespected by the fans earlier in the evening) storm into the production truck and order that the show abruptly go off the air without giving viewers a proper conclusion.

There was a lot of uproar from fans over the unprecedented (albeit highly questionable) tactic, but on the bright side, it saved the rematch for pay-per-view where it belonged.
