Ranking Every Randy Orton Vs. Triple H WWE Match Ever

12. Raw - Oct. 16, 2006

The three-match series that kicked off this list started on Oct. 16, 2006 and was undoubtedly the best of the bunch.

Prior to this, it had been over a year and a half since Triple H and Randy Orton had last locked up. It wasn't an overly lengthy matchup by any means, but in the 10 minutes they were allotted, they put forth a decent effort and kept the crowd engaged from start to finish.

This, too, featured some interference from Shawn Michaels, Edge and Lita, but not as much as the other encounters. In the end, after The Heartbreak Kid delivered a low blow to Orton behind the referee's back, Triple H nailed his longtime foe with a scintillating chair shot to secure the victory.

The only drawback to this bout is that Triple H went over when it wasn't necessary. Granted, Orton avenged the loss the very next week, but it would have been better for the heels to come out on top on night one, which would force the babyfaces to have to battle back.

Either way, it was solid albeit unspectacular.
