Ranking Every TLC Match In WWE History - From Worst To Best
5. John Cena Vs. Edge (Unforgiven 2006)
Another iconic rivalry of the modern era here, and unsurprisingly another that involved your resident TLC stalwart, Edge. This time it was John Cena he stood across from, and the pair’s abundant chemistry ensured that this would be one for the ages.
Initially this began as a rather straightforward one-on-one match, but it wasn’t long before the action soon spilled outside of the ring and degenerated into something more extreme. Both guys took the now-customary tumbles through tables at ringside, and as the match wore on there was even time for Lita to take an AA from Cena, before Edge himself was sent flying through a stack of tables after another AA, this time from atop a ladder.
That spot required as much balance and technique as it did balls and temerity, making for a pretty great summary of the contest as a whole.
Add in the hostile Toronto crowd, which really added to the occasion by rooting on the hometown hero Edge, and you’ve got a match that I’d personally claim to be the greatest singles bout in TLC history.
