6. Non-Sanctioned Eight Man Tag Team Match (No Way Out Of Texas: In Your House)

Triple H Cactus Jack
WWE Network

With February 1998's explosive non-sanctioned headliner, Cactus Jack and Triple H were given the first opportunity to renew their 1997 feud as key components in four-man squads doing battle on the Road To WrestleMania 14.

In truth though, neither were overtly featured. It was, unequivocally, Stone Cold Steve Austin's night.

'The Rattlesnake' had been due to captain his makeshift assemblage against D-Generation-X and The New Age Outlaws in a Teddy Long-esque amalgamation of three of WrestleMania 14's major title matches, but Shawn Michaels' last minute pull-out due to the back injury that would prematurely shelve him for four years saw Savio Vega grossly underwhelm in his place, and turn the scrap into little more than a showcase of the chaos Austin was routinely bringing with him to main events around the country.

Though few could ever replace Michaels in any capacity, Vega was at least game for the brawl, and threw himself into the physicality with gusto alongside the other six just desperate to tiptoe into the growing spotlight around Stone Cold.

Cactus and Hunter had limited interraction, but played nonetheless in an energetic bout that predictably ended in Stone Cold Stunners all round. Chyna herself literally took one on the chin, marking the first time she'd faced significant retribution for her physical involvement over the past year. As Foley himself would have attested to, her receipt was long overdue.
