24. WrestleMania XXVIII

The middling quality of WrestleMania XXVIII was possibly why the largest ever pay-per-view audience in WWE didn't all fancy a second bite of the cherry at the broadly better effort the following year.

The 'Once In A Lifetime' fell below reasonable expectations after the bell, whilst the matches without part-timers or megastars highlighted exactly why the over-reliance on said special guests was becoming so problematic.

The Team Johnny/Team Teddy tag team match was the saddest indictment. A load of geeks fought some other geeks over who would be their boss and ultimately never even deal with them on television. On the off chance anybody actually gave a single f*ck, lone (slightly) over star Zack Ryder was the biggest geek of all after losing the match and his girl. A babyface had never deserved a boot in the plums more.
