32. WrestleMania XXVII

A chronic, dispiriting disappointment after one of the best builds in WrestleMania history, 2011's 'Show Of Shows' neither learned from small mistakes of the recent past nor laid the foundations for any new superstars beyond the biggest one in the entire company and the biggest one in the f*cking world.

WWE Champion The Miz was less than a second class citizen in his main event with John Cena - he was a third wheel in 'The Champ's simmering rivalry with The Rock. Elsewhere divided opinions and their pay packets with an evocative but over-indulgent war, whilst Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole flushed away the good will for their surprisingly entertaining feud with a positively putrid non-payoff guilty of making nearly the same mistake Bret Hart and Vince McMahon did 12 months earlier.
