Ranking Every WWE Cruiserweight Champion Since 2016
7. Enzo Amore
Although he was way worse in the ring than anyone else featured on this list, Enzo Amore deserves credit where it's due: he was a tremendous talker and (for a time, anyway) brought new eyes to 205 Live while he was the Cruiserweight champion.
Amore's move to the Cruiserweight division was slightly sudden. It was only one day after he beat Big Cass by referee stoppage on Raw that he showed up on 205 Live and confronted then-Cruiserweight champion Neville, making it known he had officially joined the brand.
Despite the many negative reports that were coming out about Amore back then, he was still very popular with fans and was able to inject new life into the stagnant show. Of course, his matches were another story (not even Neville could carry him to a competent outing), but at least his heel promos were better than almost anything else on 205 Live early on.
Not only was he one of two people to beat Neville in 2017, he was also responsible for getting the Cruiserweights into the main event of Raw three weeks in a row. Once it became clear that the show would revolve around Amore, 205 Live went back to being completely missable. His feud with Neville was cut short, his matches against Kalisto were painfully mediocre, and he eventually started doing the same stuff week after week.
Amore's abrupt departure from WWE in January 2018 led to the title being declared vacant and the quality of 205 Live improved drastically with him gone.
